Unfortunatley due to a support team issue we have
had to postpone the charity walk untill November 2007. It has been decided
that it would be unsafe for Bryan to perform the walk alone over the 100
mile distance and especially in the early stages leaving from Eastbourne.
Please rest assured that your money is still needed and welcomed. People
that have already donated, thank you!
On the 11th October 2007 at 20:30 hrs Bryan Stanislas along ‘Indie’ the English Springer Spaniel, will attempt to walk the South Downs Way in just four days to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support. Bryan will start his challenge next to the Polgate Golf Club, East Dean Road, Eastbourne at 20:30hrs prompt and there will be a photo call and filming opportunity prior to this at 20:00hrs This is quite a challenge to complete as the route winds along some of the south coasts most demanding terrain for 100 miles, that’s approximately one marathon (25miles) every day, four days in a row. Bryan is a normal everyday Joe and is not a member of the armed forces so this is even more demanding upon him as he is not a super fit guy. We expect Indie the English Springer to complete at least double the distance covered by Bryan!!!
While we appreciate the fact that there are many charity events each year we feel that this particular charity challenge is of special importance. In the UK, 284,560 persons were diagnosed with cancer in 2004. Four types – breast, lung, bowel (colorectal) and prostate – account for over half of all new cases of cancer. We normally associate cancer with those that are old or who smoke but in the UK, 1,538 children were diagnosed with cancer in 2002. These are frightening statistics that are on the rise year by year. Cancer will affect 1 in 3 individuals within the UK. It may not be directly, but could be indirectly such as a niece or nephew, cousin, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father friend or work colleague. Macmillan nurses are an essential need within our society, hospice’s and hospitals. Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support and campaign for better cancer care. Cancer affects us all.
Please help us raise just £1000.00 to help the Macmillan Cancer Support………..it may be you who needs them next!

Yachtsman Geoff Holt yesterday completed his mammoth journey around the British Isles. Geoff aptly named this historic adventure 'Personal Everest' because of its difficulty and challenges due to being quadriplegic sailor. At the age of 18 Geoff suffered a diving accident and was paralyzed from the neck down but prior to this he was one of the worlds youngest ever charter skippers sailing the Atlantic several times in severe weather.
Shockmedia Productions UK were involved with Geoff Holt at the very beginning of his Personal Everest back in 2006 after Geoff approached Company Director Bryan Stanislas to discuss possible video production of a short film that could be pitched to prospective sponsors. Within days a short film had been produced and Geoff had his Personal Everest project in motion. Shockmedia Productions also followed him to the 2006 Southampton Boat Show as well as the 2007 Boat Show at the Excell Exhibition Centre where we managed to interview Geoff and his project manager Ian Clover.Personal Everest
